The eternal beauty... 29th may, 2011

My second attempt at capturing the beauty that she is, guess I did a decent job after failing in my first attempt... :)

The Experiment... 27th May, 2011

Always wanted to make a filtered image.....  with only one hue apart from white and black..... tried my hand at it finally... was an experiment alright, one that probably bombed, but hey.... there are marks for trying right????

The Legend... 3rd May, 2011

Ever since I first heard Jim Morrison around 3 years ago, I have felt a strange sort of  attachment towards his music. From the slow and sensuous 'Moonlight Drive' to the psychedelic celebration of 'The Soft Parade', from the deep and touching 'Alabama Song' to the outrageously fiendish 'The End', The Doors has sure been one hell of a chapter in Rock history. So it was befitting to say the least that I paid a tribute to this youth icon of the days gone by, but a legend for ages to come!

RIP James Douglas Morrison

AWWWWW.... 30th April, 2011

I get tongue tied whenever I see her images.... JOSIE MARAN....... (the sketch didn't come anywhere close to how she looks, but hey, I still like it.. :) )

Into the wild.... 29th April, 2011

Making movies is an art, and no expression of this art touched me as much as the adventures of Alexander Supertramp did. So when my colleague-friend suggested I recreate the movie poster, (which by the way, he is obsessed with :) ) I more than just obliged!

Silhouettes in the sky.... 27th April, 2011

Walking back home from office, I wonder why I looked up that day, but I am glad that I did! The sky never looked so lively, silhouetted trees on a cloud strewn evening sky and it was decided, Get back home and pull out the colours!

The day GOD turned 38.... 24th April, 2011

Need I say anything about this other worldly experience? 24th April, Mumbai Indians taking on Deccan Chargers at Uppal Stadium, I was going there, and it being HIS birthday, I couldn't have gone empty handed, could I? Being an IT professional, I am an expert at Copy-Paste.... this one was a Print-Paste though!

The girl from yesterday... 23rd April, 2011

Eagles Hell Freezes Over concert, track: 'Girl from yesterday'... I don't know what image did they have in mind when they sung it for the first time, but this sure would have been my mental image had I been in the shoes of Glenn Frey or Jack Tempchin!

The Maze... 23rd April, 2011

Yet another weekend, yet another party! However this was different. This was an experiment I had to try... with glasses clinking around me, something told me this was the perfect setting to try out the first surreal message driven art work. Hence I set out on the expedition, that saw me follow one brush stroke with another as this piece materialized, and the spirits inside me revealed the message.... "We are all caught between the guiding hands of the good and the clutches of evil, we are all reincarnations of this 'damsel in distress' stuck in 'THE MAZE'"!

Hot Wheels... 17th April, 2011

How would you feel when you receive the keys to the first ever car you purchase? Elated? On top of the world? I was audience to the complete range of emotions, as I witnessed my flat mate take possession of his first set of wheels (set of four that is :) ) Dedicated the new four legged beast in our compound, thought this would be the perfect gift for him!

The silent waters... 16th April, 2011

Partied hard all night, well past the wee hours into the morning, and crashed at 5:00 AM. A weekend like any other it should have been, until I decided to wake up at 7:30 AM, and instead of feeling all groggy and dull, I was quite the opposite and the next 90 minutes saw me get immersed in a world of colours, and I conjured up an image quite unlike the previous night.

Remembering the times... 10th January, 2010

Placed and at home for a break from the hectic (guffaw guffaw) schedule at IMT, found the best way to unwind... armed with my niece's poster colors, and a snap of hers, I started with this first-ever portrait-in-colours. Good start I reckon, it came out decent, and rekindled the passion for art in me.

First Charcoal sketch..... 26th March, 2011

This is where it all started, I wanted to kick start the second innings of living my passion in style, and the world cup fever only helped me find my bearings! The year, or rather the two decades of this living legend left me with no other remote choice but his image to grace the canvas. Charcoal for the first time in life was a gamble, and Sachin's sketch only made it superlatively insanely challenging. Guess I lived up to my expectations.... :)
